Banzai works with industry-leading data providers and our own proprietary contact and behavior data.
How far in advance should I launch a campaign?
In order for Banzai to launch a campaign, we will need to have the campaign fully prepared for launch at a minimum of 4 weeks ahead of the event. Estimated registrations are reduced by half if a campaign is launched < 15 business days from your event. We are unable to support starting a campaign within 7 business days of your event.
How is this different than my internal sales team?
Your internal sales team is good at getting customers and pipeline to register. They have pre-existing relationships, a low effort for them. Net-new registrations are more challenging and require more outreach. Internal sales does not have the bandwidth to focus on net-new registrations.
How does pricing work?
Banzai sells registration subscriptions. Please contact Sales with further pricing questions.
How do I know how many registrations to purchase for my event?
You should anticipate an average of 33% attendance for net new prospect registrations.
What is the conversion rate to registration?
Similar to any other advertising platform, your conversion rates may vary on any given event. Across all campaigns run on Banzai, we found our customers average a 1% conversion rate to registration.
Do we receive the contact information of everyone Banzai invites to my event?
Because of privacy laws, we only provide customers with the information of people who register for your event.
What are the steps for launching an event with Banzai?
- Accept the invite to the Banzai platform
- Add event details (location, description, time, etc.)
- Build your audience profile
- Upload suppressions and/or target accounts if applicable
What happens after Banzai launches my event?
Once your event launches, your customer success manager will upload your approved preview file. Outreach will begin 1-2 days after your preview file was approved or 3 weeks before your event (whichever comes first) Your customer success manager will set up a weekly touch base call leading up to your event.
How do we know the contact information is correct?
Once someone registers, we have a 24-hour QA process to make sure the contact information is correct.
Can you suppress specific contacts and/or accounts?
In order to do this, Banzai will need a complete list of the domains you want to suppress.
What does Banzai outreach include?
Banzai is an omnichannel outreach platform. Outreach includes email, InMail, SMS, and phone outreach. You may toggle on/off week before and day before reminders as well. The reminder cadence includes email, SMS, and phone reminders.
Do you represent us (white-label) or Banzai?
For 99% of our customers, we white label as your company. We do this by creating a secondary domain like “yourcompany”-events.com. For the other 1% of customers, we send everything from our Banzai domains and simply say ‘our partner COMPANY is hosting an event’. You can decide what makes the most sense for your business.
How are the outreach emails created?
We use standard templates. We add your important event information. We’ll share these templates with you upon request prior to launch to make sure Banzai is on brand and on message.
How do you prevent double contacting if my sales team is also doing outreach?
As previously mentioned, you may upload suppression lists into Banzai.
What happens if you register someone we don’t want to attend?
Before launching any campaign we send you a preview file that includes everyone we will be reaching out to by title and company. It’s really important for you to review the preview file to ensure that the target audience is correct. If someone who is not part of your target audience signs up, we will uninvite them for you at no cost.
What if someone registers but doesn’t attend?
Banzai’s role in your event success is limited to registrations. While we have products available to keep your event top-of-mind and encourage attendance, we cannot guarantee attendees. We anticipate an average of 33% attendance for net new prospects.
What happens if a client cancels an event due to weather or other extreme cases?
In the event of a cancellation, Banzai will refund the remaining registration credit balance back to your client account. For those prospects already registered for the event, we send a final detailed list with each prospect’s contact information for continued follow up by the client. Often times registrants who were willing to go so far as attending an event by the client are “warm leads” and should be followed-up on regardless of attendance status.
Does Banzai offer refunds?
Banzai offers 12-month subscriptions and our pricing is based on registration credits. Because we are a bootstrapped startup, we depend on our customers, and do not offer refunds. However, your Customer Success Manager will work with you directly to develop an innovative strategy to maximize the value you get from Banzai and utilize your registration credits.
Does Banzai integrate with my CRM?
We currently do not have a native integration, but we will soon! When a prospect says they’d like to attend, we say ‘Great David, as a courtesy I’ll go ahead and register you.’ A Banzai agent then goes onto your registration page and registers your contact.
Presumably, your Salesforce or Marketo is connected to your registration page. In addition, we also add your contact into your campaign in the Banzai platform, which you have full access to.
Do you have an example of ROI customers have seen?
Last year, a customer spent $100,000 on Banzai registrations.
ROI: $3.6 million in direct pipeline, $6.2 million in influenced pipeline.
Last quarter, Banzai drove 33% of all of a customer’s field marketing registrations.
ROI: The customer-generated registrations had a 2% conversion rate to opp, Banzai generated registrations had a 5% conversion rate to opp.
How do you handle international privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, etc)?
Many countries such as Canada have certain internet spam or solicitation laws. We follow laws accordingly; if the respective country restricts specific types of outreach, we do not engage potential prospects in those areas via the restricted method.

- Event – a net-new prospect or customer B2B field marketing event
- Registration – a prospect or customer who registers for a client event
- Campaign – the sum of all actions taken within the client/Banzai relationship leading up to each event (pre, during, and post)
- Attendee – a net-new prospect or customer who attends a client event
- Confirmation – a verbal or written commitment from a net-new prospect or customer confirming their attendance status for an event the following day
